On day six, we contemplate the elusive nature of farewells. The magical time before you part ways, the anticipation of the end heightens the experience of the now which precedes it. Soak in the warmth of nostalgia with a selection of home videos and follow it with a discussion on personal photographs; wander to lands strange and afar, undertake cross-planetary journeys through the lens of art; join us for a pertinent conversation on documentary theatre in the times of pandemic, a discussion on accessibility, a cook-along, a jam session, and a love story for the ages. Remember the illusory shimmer of farewells, the comfort of knowing that all divergences are provisional, even as we part we are just embarking on the journey to meet... again.

Mars As Art: Beauty and Discovery on the Red Planet // Google Arts and Culture
Spacecrafts have imaged the surface of Mars for more than five decades, revealing insights into the nature of our nearest planetary neighbor. But the first grainy images are a thing of the past - NASA's recent Mars missions have sent back ultra-high-resolution views in light wavelengths imperceptible by the human eye. We can appreciate these images for their beauty as well as their scientific value.

Theatremakers Kai Tuchmann, Anuja Ghosalkar, and Amitesh Grover will discuss how as artists, we face the reality of Covid 19. Each of them will present a short iteration rooted in their practice. After which in a moderated conversation with Arushi, the panelists will explore the pressing and immediate questions––What do contemporary performances in the age of the virus look like? What are the protocols and ethics involved in making work about Covid-19 currently? What does it mean to performance making, now that it cannot be embodied? What are new imaginations of survival that one needs?

As a part of the digital launch for the new issue of PIX, Personal Paradigms, we are hosting some conversations between contributors featured in the issue as well as other writers, artists and researchers thinking around the subjects of domestic photography, personal history and family archives. For our first conversation, we have invited Kannagi Khanna, Rajyashi Goody and Sabeena Gadihoke to engage in a discussion around the works featured in the issue, as well as the larger themes they are thinking through. Along with the three guests, the PIX Editorial team will be a part of this conversation which will then be recorded and made public for our audiences on the website.
